Dominique Hollins

She/Her/Hers | Founder
Dominique Hollins is the Founder and Connector-in-Chief of WĒ360, 360° of Workplace Equity, a Justice, Equity, Diversity and Inclusion (JEDI) consulting firm. She develops customized strategies that bridge the gap between corporate responsibility and organizational accountability to enable equitable and inclusive business practices. With over 16 years of experience in the technology and financial services sectors, Dominique has worked at Fortune 500 companies, like Google and eBay, and in partnership with non-profit organizations, academic institutions, entrepreneurs, community leaders and professional advocates. Her experience in sales, business operations, product and program development, data analysis, partnerships, community development, small business advocacy, communications and tech entrepreneurship helps to enable intersectional impact for marginalized communities.

Dominique is a Chicago-native (Southside!) whose transition to Silicon Valley fundamentally shifted the way she views herself as a Black bisexual woman with an invisible disability. Her self-exploration has led to self-advocacy and the advocacy of anyone who struggles to embrace their authentic selves in toxic work environments.

Understanding Bias and its Impact on People

The term “unconscious bias” is commonly used to explain the lack of DEIB in the tech industry. The term may appear benign because everyone has unconscious bias. However, unconscious bias that people in positions of privilege and power have on others can either damage or enhance careers, reputations, and livelihoods. This module explains bias (whether conscious or unconscious) and how it can unfairly disadvantage or advantage prospective and current employees.
